FITTING DIFFERENT FLOOR TYPES
The table below shows different fitting options available, shown in order of our recommended preference.
This table is for guidance only and is by no means comprehensive.
Fitting safety checks:
- Moisture Content – Check relative humidity with meter above & below new flooring
- Make sure any concrete / screed / render is fully dry (allow approx 1 day for each mm thickness)
- Install a DPM if necessary
- Stack & acclimatise the flooring – ask for our acclimatisation / stacking sheet
- Adequate provision must be made for expansion gaps
- Take account of local variance in moisture levels e.g. due to Agas, direct sunlight & air conditioning.
- Fully insulate all central heating pipes.
- For fitting over underfloor heating ask for our Tectonic fitting sheets
- Allow adequate wastage for cutting (5-10%)
